Date #1-Turkish guy

Ahhh, will power is an amazing thing, sometimes I wish I didn't have it.

I will say this...if it's been a while since you've dated, you should date someone that isn't very attractive or that you aren't attracted to. The reason why I say this is because then you are least likely to want to jump their bones, especially when they are a hot Turkish guy with a water polo players body. Yeah, I figured I was in trouble from the start!

So on first dates, I usually don't do dinner as it is a commitment when you are meeting someone for the first time....however sushi was put on the table and I couldn't say no, hey what can I say, I REALLY wanted sushi!

The previous night Turkish guy and I spoke on the phone for about an hour, and we had pretty good conversation, so off to sushi I went last night. We both live in the same area and he did offer to drive me, but I figured, I should at least meet him there for our first date, that way if he is crazy he doesn't know where I live! He was a few minutes late, which is fine, I am usually a stickler for tardiness, but he was looking pretty yummy. We get a table and order some hot sake and rolls and begin our evening.

The conversation is pretty good, nothing too serious, he apparently hasn't dated much on match, but has been on it for a while, it sounded like he might have had some pretty awful experiences. We talked about sports, his love for water polo, my love for lacrosse, yada yada yada. After dinner we decided to grab a drink at Bistro 33, again conversation was good, I was trying to get him to teach my bad words in Turkish and seeing if my phone was able to translate! He had one more drink then I did and decided not to drive, so I offered to drop him off, since I was headed in the same direction. Secretly I think it was all a ploy, but hey I totally went along with it.

So stay tuned for date #2. Hopefully I can maintain my will power.
